In 1982, Mr Michel and Gilbert Bonja founded Bonja Shipping Co Ltd to render Agency Services to vessel owners from all over the world at Mersin Port. Mersin was the most important commercial hub in Eastern Mediterrenean area in 1980's and Bonja Shipping was playing key-role in sea transportation doing chartering and brokering for agricultural products. In late 80's and early 90's, Turkey's outward-oriented growth required more skilled people in shipping world where company expanded activities on steels and minerals transportation . The symbiosis between countries foreign trade volume and national shipping societies resulted in historical success in countries export volume. Chartering
The gradual growth in countries economy paralelly requires well-furnished companies to support this development. Bonja Shipping annually carry more then 600,000 mton of steel products, cement, minerals, project cargoes and agricultural products worldwide Having good and long-term relations with many shipoperators and shipowners , our well-furnished staff do not limit themselves alone with national exports as well acting as operators and chartering vessels all over the world.
